Sea World Foundation Wildlife Hospital

A new centre of excellence for marine wildlife care is coming to Sea World

Coming late 2027

Construction is underway on a new Sea World Foundation Wildlife Hospital on the Gold Coast, a transformative expansion of the charity’s rescue, rehabilitation and return work.

This state of-the-art facility will deliver advanced surgical, imaging, rehabilitation, and quarantine spaces to care for hundreds of marine animals each year, as well as new diagnostic capabilities for wildlife and the animals in the Park’s care.

Beyond emergency response, this new facility will enable Sea World guests to view some of the life-saving work and promote conservation education engagement opportunities that encourage visitor to value, protect and care for our unique wildlife and natural environment.

The project is supported by a $10 million dollar investment from the Queensland Government, alongside a separate contribution from Village Roadshow Theme Parks.
